My name is Micah Shannon, and I’m honored to share my journey through the writings. My writing journey has been anything but straightforward, but I’ve always loved challenging stories.
I had twelve years of Catholic priests and nuns introducing me to and teaching me Latin, Greek and English throughout my education. Then onto the Carmelite Seminary, where I transcribed ancient documents. However, I concluded that institutionalized religion didn’t suit me and wanted a more personal spirituality. This insight led to independent thought and deep admiration for God’s creativity.
The 35 years on the Human Rights Committee deepened my perspective of humanity. My perspective has been enriched by advocating for everyone’s “God-given rights,” and it encouraged me to merge metaphysical ideas with concrete challenges.
“Die or Not Die” It’s a mirror of life’s many paths and an investigation of some deepest problems.
